Located in Foley, Alabama, The Palms is planned to be a mixed use development over 400,000 square feet of retail space and 350 residential units will occupy a 80 acre site, while an additional 350 apartment units will be constructed on a second 40 acre site. Small, regional retail shops with residential units above will be positioned adjacent to the main thoroughfare while national retailers will fill the remaining available retail space. Clear pedestrian connections are planned between the residential and retail areas to emphasize the village concept for the development and courtyard entrances for the condominium units will create "pocket parks". The apartments are planned to utilize parking courts and thus provide the units with views of green space rather than parking.
