PARKLANE OFFICES
Parklane Office Building was one of the first office buildings constructed in Maryland Farms in the 1980s. The four-story building was purchased in 2009, and the new ownership group requested an image upgrade for both the interior and the exterior. The proposed design focused the renovation work for the interior on all the public spaces including the lobbies and restrooms at each level. The exterior renovation work included a complete renovation of the guest entry terrace and the creation of a new courtyard at the employee entry to the first floor lobby. Additional exterior improvements included new exterior landscape and accent lighting and the creation of a new four-story vertical entry element that serves as a portal into the entry lobby. This vertical element provides a visual break from the strong horizontal lines of the existing building and is scaled to create visual interest from the adjacent street.
