This unique commission was the design of a collection of barns to house thoroughbred horses in Lexington, Kentucky. Working closely with the Landscape Architect, Ben Page and Associates, Gilbert | McLaughlin | Casella Architects incorporated Architectural elements from the surrounding countryside, used mortise and tenon heavy timber construction, and explored alternative ways to expand the images prevalent in the area.
